Reporting a Claim
In case of a loss, you must contact the office or your agent as soon as possible. Our toll-free number is 1-866-488-4401. You may also e-mail us at office@theresamutual.com.
Claim Do's and Don'ts
Do:
- Make temporary repairs to avoid further loss.
- Protect your property at and after a loss.
- Retain all damaged items for the adjuster to view.
- Notify law enforcement promptly if the loss is a crime.
- Contact a veterinarian on all animal deaths.
- Take photographs to record the incident.
Don't:
- Destroy evidence.
- Complete repairs until our adjuster has viewed the damage.
- Make volunteer payments, offer rewards or assume obligations or other costs.
- Give pertinent information to anyone other than a representative of Theresa Mutual or your own attorney.
Safety Checklist
- Smoke detectors working
- Fire extinquishers current
- Surge protectors installed
- Furnace maintained
- Wiring up to date
- Property kept clean and orderly
